Chatty-Pet Privacy Policy

Summary

This version of Chatty-Pet does not require an account, does not include advertising, and does not include in-app purchases. Gameplay progress is stored locally on the device so the app can remember world state and related progress between sessions.

Personal data

In this version of Chatty-Pet, Fractal Media Infrastructure does not collect personal data from users through the app for account creation, advertising, analytics, profiling, or cloud gameplay services.

Local save data

Chatty-Pet stores gameplay progress locally on the device. This may include world state, unlocked items, and other in-app progress needed for normal app functionality between sessions.

This local save data stays on the device and is used only to support the app's operation for the user.

Talk to Chatty

The optional Talk to Chatty feature uses an included small language model on the device. Messages and replies are processed locally and are not sent to FMI or another online service. The conversation is kept only in memory for the current app session; it is not added to saved gameplay data.

Children should not enter names, contact details, addresses, school details, passwords, photos, location information, or other personal information into the chat. The feature includes simple child-oriented guardrails, but parents and guardians should supervise use and decide whether it is appropriate for a particular child.

Reporting a Chatty reply

Chatty-Pet includes an optional in-app “Tell a grown-up” report action on Chatty replies. Opening the action does not send anything. A report is sent only when a grown-up selects a reason and presses Send report.

The submitted report contains the selected Chatty reply, the selected reason, an optional note, the local Smol model label, app version, timestamp, and a random report ID. It does not include the child's preceding message, the rest of the conversation, saved gameplay data, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or credentials. Reports are sent to an FMI-controlled mailbox for safety review. The app does not automatically report, track, or retry chats.

Ads, purchases, and monetization

Chatty-Pet does not include:

• third-party advertising
• in-app purchases
• subscription purchase flows
• paywall-based core access

Tracking, analytics, and data sharing

This version of Chatty-Pet is not built around cross-app tracking, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs, or surveillance-style behavioral profiling.

Fractal Media Infrastructure does not sell user data through Chatty-Pet.

Chatty-Pet is not intended to share personal user data with third parties as part of its core gameplay experience. An explicitly submitted Chatty-reply report is delivered to FMI, the app's publisher, for safety review.

Submitted report deletion

To ask FMI to delete a report you explicitly submitted, contact fractalmediainfrastructure@gmail.com and include the report ID if it is available. Chatty-Pet has no user accounts, and normal Talk to Chatty conversations are not sent or stored by FMI.

Permissions

For this version, the Android release manifest does not declare runtime device permissions for the app.

If future versions add permissions or external services, this policy should be updated before or alongside that release.

Children and families

Chatty-Pet is designed to present a simple, child-safe interaction surface. Parents and guardians should review the app themselves to decide whether it is appropriate for a particular child.

Changes to this policy

If Chatty-Pet changes in a way that affects privacy expectations, this page will be updated and the revised version will be published before or alongside that release.
